Steven Gordon

Rooted in strong graphic design principles, Steven Gordon has acquired over 14 years of solid print design, web site user interface design and usability expertise.

He began his professional career in graphic design working in the art department of a mid-sized Anaheim print shop while attending Platt College full-time. This experience gained him hands-on knowledge of the offset lithography process, pre-press expertise and the ability to handle intense deadline pressure.

In 1998 Steve began working for Autobytel.com, the nation’s leading car buying and reasearch site, and the 6th largest internet brand, as part of the marketing team. He studied website user interface design and later assumed the UI design role for the company’s consumer web site, which had traffic of more than 1.6 million unique users per month. Additionally, he was also tasked as lead interface designer of a $3 million direct-purchase pilot program in partnership with General Motors’ Chevrolet division. After the dot-com bubble burst of 20002001, Steven worked for several Southern California agencies specializing in a handful of industries including: home building, architecture, health care, biotechnology and entertainment.

Most recently, he flexed his creative muscles in the role of Art Director at J. Morrison Group, a boutique agency specializing in recruitment advertising and employee communications. There he consistently exceeded client expectations by delivering innovative, creative solutions for their clients’ communication objectives. In doing so, he and the agency have reaped numerous creative accolades from the recruitment advertising industry and international organizations.

Steven is also a self-taught fine artist and commercial illustrator. Keep an eye out on this site for his latest work.
